The Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) is a regional, non-profit technical institute with over 30 years of experience in the Caribbean. Headquartered in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and with staff across Barbados, Jamaica, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, CANARI champions locally led approaches to natural resource management. Its mission is to promote and facilitate stakeholder participation and collaboration in the stewardship of renewable natural resources in the Caribbean. CANARI's work encompasses research, policy influence, capacity building, and advocacy, focusing on areas such as resilience, biodiversity and ecosystems, equity and justice, participatory governance, and innovation. The institute collaborates with governments, civil society, research institutions, and private enterprises to develop inclusive solutions for environmental management and sustainable development.
