Project Details
Installation of an earthen bench using recycled materails to create seating in bamboo gazebo with a self supporting roof system. The tyres were stragetically placed and packed with glass bottles and covered in layers of cob to form the shape of a bench.
Students made a cob mix that was used as a base coat plaster to exisitng cob benches in preparation for a final plaster or wash.
Water damage to earthen floors from leaks in roof caused floors to erode over time, students made a cob mix that was compacted onto the floor and brought to level creating a floor that is entierly made of natural materials.
