Breadfruit Bites with Spicy Thai Chili Sauce



A tasty treat! Fill with whatever filling you like!


  • Breadfruit Flour 1 cup

  • Cornmeal 1 tbsp

  • Butter 1 tsp room temp

  • Coconut Milk 1/4 cup

  • Salt to taste 

  • Oregano 

  • Parsley Flakes 

  • Olive oil 

Judge the measurement of each for the texture and taste you desire. Add a little at a time until you get the desired texture - adjust as needed. 


  1. Mix the dry ingredients together.

  2. Work in the butter until combined with flour in a crumbly texture.

  3. Add milk a little at a time as you use your hand to work the dough.

  4. Once dough is fully formed, add a bit of olive oil to get a smoother texture.

  5. Let sit for 20-40 mins covered in a tightly shut container or with foil paper over the bowl.

  6. Take small pieces of dough, flatten and add whatever filling you desire then slowly close it over the filling (I used tuna).

  7. Optional you can baste the edge or all of the batter with butter before adding the filling (I feel like this added a bit of crunch).

  8. Fry on a low flame until brown on all sides (you want small bubbles in the oil when frying).

Sauce (Optional)

The portions are up to you - cook with your eyes and heart

  • Cayenne pepper 

  • Oregano

  • Parsley flakes 

  • Olive oil
