The Jamaica Organic Agriculture Movement (JOAM) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in May 2001 to promote the growth and development of Jamaica's organic agriculture sector. Managed by a seven-member Board of Directors, JOAM advocates for sustainable farming practices through certification support, training programs, and the establishment of demonstration farms. The organization aims to improve environmental and human health, assist producers in transitioning to organic methods, and promote the production, distribution, and consumption of organic products islandwide.
