Creamy Breadfruit Tea

May is Child's Month so here's a childhood favourite with a breadfruit twist.

  • Ripe Breadfruit 2

  • Ripe Banana 1

  • Stinking Toe (West Indian Locust) 2

  • Sea Moss Gel 2tbsp

  • Nutmeg Powder 1/2tsp

  • Water 2.5 cups

  1. Puree and blend the breadfruit and banana together

  2. Add the powder from the stinking toe, the sea moss gel and the nutmeg, stir

  3. Add the water and transfer to a sauce pan

  4. Bring to a boil on medium heat, stirring occasionally to ensure smooth texture

  5. Remove the pot from the stove, allow the pot contents to cool for 2-5 minutes, sweeten to taste with brown sugar, serve and enjoy

This brings back memories of Ovaltine and Cream of Wheat, a childhood favourite.
